We love creativity!
Culture and creativity are around us all the time, no matter in which areas we move. Music from the radio, on recordings or digitally, the painting and poster on our wall, books and comics, newspaper articles offline and online, to list just a few examples. There is hardly an area of life that is not surrounded by works designed by creative spirits. What they have in common is that they have authors who created them, hold the rights to them, and may determine who and in what way we may use their creations.
The fact that conflicts regularly arise as a result of this cannot be prevented in times of digital distribution of content.
We are at your side to resolve these conflicts, or to prevent them from arising through negotiation and contract drafting.
For many years, we have specialized in advising and representing companies or individuals on all aspects of copyright law. We place particular emphasis on personal contact and a relationship of trust with our clients.
Within the scope of our services, we will act for you both in and out of court in all copyright cases. We enforce your claims as author or owner of exploitation rights, but also defend you against unjustified claims. We also support you, for example, in the drafting and evaluation of license agreements.

Copyright in the digital space
As a result of the revolution in working and private life brought about by the Internet, the possibility of copyright conflicts has increased enormously. Works protected by copyright, such as photographs, texts, music or videos, are permanently available in the digital space. This means that they are initially accessible to unauthorized access without restriction. Digitally available works are often used by copy/paste without acquiring a license to use or exploit them from the rights holders, including artists, publishers and labels. This causes enormous economic damage. Nevertheless, there is often a lack of awareness of the injustice of such infringements.
A classic example of rights infringements on the Internet are file-sharing systems in which, for example, films, images and music are made available free of charge between users for exchange. An entire industry has existed around this area of law enforcement for many years.
We advise on the following topics, among others:
Film copyright / moral rights / music law / database protection / collecting societies / publishing law / press contracts / legal issues relating to works of visual art / software law / works of architecture / stage contracts / photographic law / broadcasting contracts / merchandising contracts
